The Piccadilly Arts Story
When I think of stories, I think beginning, middle, and end. Piccadilly Arts’ story is really my story, the roller coaster ride that was my career for so long.
The Beginning
In the beginning of the millennium there was an ambitious college grad who adored great marketing strategies and killer design. She bounced around the tech world desperately seeking a place that would feel like home and value her talents. One hot summer day after yet another layoff from yet another tech company, she found herself sitting across from her future boss wondering what on earth she was doing interviewing for a job in the performing arts.
The Middle
She would go on to take that Artist Rep position and love every aspect of it. That was in 2003. She would make a few horizontal moves over the next five years, but the industry wouldn’t let her go. In the winter of 2010, she realized despite the nomadic career she thought she had, all along, she was on a path, the right path. She just needed to see it and embrace it.
The End
She finally did embrace her skills, her creative industries, and ultimately, her love of family programming. This was, after all, where she had started in 2003. Things come full circle. Piccadilly Arts was incorporated in January 2010 and has evolved into a performing arts agency that manages and represents the careers and tours of family theater and dance artists.
