Zany Umbrella Circus

"His [Ben Sota, of the Zany Umbrella Circus] performances on the Trapeze and Spanish Web are so imaginative and breathtaking they must be seen to be believed." ~ Wavy Gravy

Zany Umbrella Circus builds and strengthens communities through the folk artistry of contemporary circus -- particularly puppetry, circus, music, storytelling, street theatre and visual arts -- and through education. Their performances and residencies both in the United States and abroad have brought together diverse audiences to share in the magical experience that is circus art.

Zany Umbrella Circus’ theatrical, character driven performances tell stories that tickle the imagination and teach important life lessons. The company uses art as a vehicle to further social change, reintegrate art into daily life, promote dialogue, teach cooperation skills and encourage children of all backgrounds to use their imaginations and create artwork of their own.

"The entertaining charm of the visual effects captivates children, but adults are not immune to it either." ~ Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
